1. State Your Purpose

When someone visits your blog, make sure your purpose is crystal clear. You can do this with what's called a "blog banner," which is your blog's title and explains what you are there to accomplish.

2. Keep Things Simple

There are a ton on design options you can incorporate into a blog - everything from widgets to fonts to eye-catching colors - that sometimes it's easy to over-decorate your design. 7. Check Your Font Size

Each browser has a unique oddity that makes blogs show up differently, so it's very important that you check your blog on a variety of browsers to ensure that it's showing up the way it's designed to look
